Clearwater MN - Hydrogeologic and Aquifer Vulnerability Assessment

Staff at LRE Water completed a Hydrogeologic Assessment for an area near the City of Clearwater, Minnesota (City) for the purposes of mapping the geology and siting future production wells, in addition to finding areas suitable to relocate a stormwater infiltration basin. The current phase of the project included completing an aquifer vulnerability assessment adjacent to the City’s existing Wellhead Protection Area and Drinking Water Supply Management Area (DWSMA).
The final deliverable provided the City and the City’s engineer information necessary for either relocating the City’s current wellfield to a less vulnerable location, or relocating an existing stormwater infiltration structure.
