Grand County WSD#1 On-Call Water Resources

The Grand County Water & Sanitation District No. 1 serves the municipal water demand for a portion of the Town of Winter Park. Services for this longtime LRE Water Client since the 1990s have included engineering services related to general water rights, water resources, and water supply planning issues.
LRE Water has performed water supply planning studies including future use projections; performed depletion analyses to estimate augmentation needs; evaluated water rights for potential purchase; performed historical use analyses to quantify the historical yield of water rights; and reviewed other entities’ water right applications to protect the District’s interests. LRE Water has assisted the District in monitoring and responding to issues related to other entities with interests in the Fraser River Basin and the Colorado River Basin.
