Responsibilities

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Technical support for Water Court applications (SWSPs, Augmentation Plans, etc.)</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Water supply planning studies</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Hydrologic and water rights yield investigations</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Stream depletion analyses such as crop consumptive use, net depletions, and evaluation of potential injury to other water users</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Water budget models for discrete systems and for river basin modeling</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Assist clients in identifying, understanding, and solving problems</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Coordination with attorneys, water users, administrators, objectors, and colleagues</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Preparation of scopes of work and technical reports, including expert disclosure reports</li>

Qualifications

Flexible/Hybrid Work Options:
LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role will be based out of the Glenwood Springs, Colorado office with the flexibility to work remotely, as approved by the supervisor. Field work may require travel, long field days, weekend work, and night work that will occasionally result in weeks with more than 40-hours of work. Staff Hydrologist I-III

Staff Engineer I-III

The Senior Project Hydrologist generally has to have at least four to five years of experience and shall have achieved professional registration by examination, when appropriate and available in their area of expertise. He/she must have been responsible for more than one project at a time from client contact to completion with limited general review and assistance from senior staff, and designated tasks on large projects. Staff members at this level are expected to spend 75 to 80 percent of their time on billable project work and may be responsible for supervising junior staff and participating in technical meetings, hearings, negotiation, and litigation.&nbsp;

Flexible/Hybrid Work Options:
LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role will be based out of the Glenwood Springs, CO office with the flexibility to work remotely. Field work may require travel, long field days, weekend work, and night work that will occasionally result in weeks with more than 40-hours of work. Mileage, expenses, and/or per diem paid for work travel.
