We are looking for a creative, passionate, and organized Staff Hydrogeologist/Engineer I-III join our Texas groundwater team. Our team's breadth of work is expanding, and we are looking for support on our groundwater supply projects and to collect and manage hydrogeologic field data, oversee well drilling and construction, prepare hydrogeologic/engineering reports, and conduct groundwater modeling. This position has the possibility to be located out of our San Antonio, TX or Round Rock, TX offices with ongoing travel to other satellite field locations throughout Texas and potentially outside of Texas.&nbsp;

Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Collect, manage and evaluate hydrogeologic data in support of groundwater supply and groundwater management projects.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Oversee drilling contractors during water well drilling, monitoring well drilling, and aquifer testing.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Develop borehole lithology logs and as-built well construction diagrams.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Develop hydrogeologic conceptual models based on published data.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Develop groundwater flow models based on the site hydrogeologic model.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Collect groundwater, surface water, and soil samples for laboratory analysis; coordinate with laboratories; and organize data.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Deploy, operate, and maintain groundwater and surface water monitoring instrumentation.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Support and coordinate with geophysical subcontractors for surface and downhole geophysical surveys.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Respond to data requests from clients, contractors, and constructors.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Communicate and coordinate between subcontractors, contractors, and clients to promote project success.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Develop plans for sampling and analysis, field work, and communication.&nbsp;</li>

Qualifications&nbsp;

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Bachelor's degree or greater in geological engineering, environmental engineering, geology, hydrology, environmental sciences, or a related field required.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">0 to 4 years of experience in environmental science and engineering consulting preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a good driving record.</li>

Total Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $29.62 - $36.20 per hour depending upon years of experience and education. Pay is negotiable for a higher level of experience. LRE Water reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range depending on experience. LRE Water also distributes bonuses and 401k contributions based on annual company profitability. Employer paid benefits increase total compensation by approximately 20%. Additionally, LRE Water supports training and professional development activities for all staff and offers discretionary bonus opportunities as recognition for performance, earning a professional credential, speaking engagements or publication.&nbsp;
Flexible work options and travel requirements
LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role will be based out of the Austin, Texas office with the flexibility to work 1 to 3 days/week remotely. Field work may require travel, long field days, weekend work, and night work that will occasionally result in weeks with more than 40-hours of work. Mileage, expenses, and/or per diem paid for work travel.
