Position Summary
LRE Water (Spheros Environmental Company) is seeking a passionate highly-technical Hydrogeologist Sr. Project Manager to join our Texas&nbsp;team. This position generally has at least 12 years of experience and developed/developing relationships with existing&nbsp;public, private, or industrial clients, and regulatory agencies. This position will support our South-Central Region with periodic travel to field locations across the West and Midwest, and/or to support LRE Water projects in other regions.
This role requires a balance of strong technical leadership, client-facing business development, and mentoring of junior staff.
Essential Functions
Manage Projects
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Develop realistic budgets and schedules for projects.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Present contracts to the Regional Director that minimize or mitigate contractual risk, and negotiate contracts with clients.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Achieve labor and operational targets.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Provide effective and timely written and oral communication.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients and be able to effectively prioritize projects and tasks.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Develop and implement plans individually and with the South-Central team to solve complex problems.</li>
</ul>
Develop and Maintain Good Business Relationships with Clients
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Maintain exceptional client satisfaction.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Lead or support the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and marketing materials for new and existing clients.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Identify new opportunities and market sectors aligned with LRE Water&rsquo;s capabilities and growth strategy.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Help the client correctly understand, identify, and formulate solutions to problems (indicators are client collaboration, successful problem solving, and efficient presentation of results).</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Assist Texas' business growth by working with the team to pursue and develop new business and service opportunities.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Lead both internal and external teams (indicators are consensus building, inspiring commitment from others, adjusting style for benefit of others, being an agent of beneficial change, and demonstrating the ability to focus on results as well as the process).</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Make sound, technical, and strategic decisions that are aligned with LRE Water core values, strategic vision, and business model even in high-pressure situations and when information is incomplete.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Present a very high level of competence across all areas of work including technical, computer, writing, verbal, and presentation skills.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Possess the ability to manage projects to meet project deadlines in a way that meets or exceeds client expectations without exceeding the budget.</li>

Mentor and Develop Staff

Required Qualifications&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
<ul>
<li style="list-style-type: none;">

<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Bachelor degree in geology or hydrogeology (or related field) with 12+ years of experience in hydrogeology and/or water resources; MS Degree a plus but not required.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Strong, all-around academic knowledge and understanding of hydrogeology.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Strong background in planning and implementing hydrogeologic desktop and field investigations for groundwater resource evaluations, high-capacity well siting, and well and well field designs.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Existing clients and business development experience preferred.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Valid driver's license and good driving record.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Strong MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Possess a positive, can-do attitude, be flexible and self-motivated, and have a strong attention to detail.</li>
<li style="font-size: 14pt;">Experience with ArcGIS Desktop and Pro, MODFLOW, Leapfrog Works, AqteSolv, Python, and/or database software a plus.</li>
<li>A Professional Geologist (PG) certification, or a Professional Engineer (PE)&nbsp; or desire/ability to obtain certification in the state(s) worked.</li>

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
