Diana joined LRE as an intern in the summer of 2017 and accepted a full-time position as a staff scientist in 2019. Her love and respect for water dates back to her childhood in Mexico when her faucets would dry up and she would watch her mother haul buckets of water from the well down by the river. On the job, Diana enjoys being out on the field collecting water samples, as well as working with data and conducting research. She hopes to expand upon her knowledge of data analysis and permitting as she gains work experience.
Diana recently graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Water Management. Off the job, she and her fiancé enjoy spending time with their puppy Blu, eating, and traveling.
