GIS Database and Groundwater Depletions Calculations Tool
  • Developing a GIS database for the Rio Grande Canal Water Users Association (RGCWUA) and working with Brannon Developments to compile necessary data and analytics into a database and provide an independent assessment of the Canal Company’s well depletion obligations to the Rio Grande sub-districts.
  • The long term vision for the sub district obligations calculations database is to deploy it in a web-accessible form, making it available to users throughout the Rio Grande basin.
  • The web based tool will provide a common set of data and tools for groups of water users to estimate their own river obligations and create an even playing field for for the shared development of their Annual Replacement Plans (ARPs).
