Hanna started her career in water resources engineering with LRE in 2016 after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont (UVM). As a member of LRE’s Water Resources group Hanna is responsible for analysis, research and technical engineering support.  While working toward her degree at UVM she was involved in a research project looking at how the interaction of climate change and land use will alter hydrological processes and nutrient transport from the landscape into rivers specifically through streambank erosion. She was also involved in an Engineers Without Borders project which focused on creating simple and sustainable greywater reuse systems in a small coffee farming community in Nicaragua.
