Gary Gin joined LRE in 2017. He has 19 years of extensive experience in the water resources industry. Gary specializes in the planning, permitting, development, and operational efficiency of water infrastructure projects spanning from recharge basins, water supply wells to Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) wells. Gary is our ASR Practice Leader and is focused on developing operator friendly systems to manage and creating efficient recharge systems that are cost-effective and sustainable. He leverages his technical expertise and water utility experience to help clients develop and implement their capital programs. Gary is active with the National Groundwater Association, American Water Works Association (Well Construction Steering Committee Member), AZ Water Association, WaterReuse Association (Technical Committee Leader), and the American Groundwater Trust. He is a Registered Professional Geologist in Arizona and Texas. Gary and the City of Phoenix and were recipients of the:
- 2013 National Ground Water Association: Outstanding Groundwater Supply Project of the Year;
- 2014 AZForward, 34th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards Award of Merit for Environmental Stewardship (SRP Award), Innovations in Aquifer Storage and Recovery Well Technologies for Aquifer Restoration, and
- 2015 recipient of the Bureau of Reclamation Drought Resiliency Project Grant for the Deer Valley Water Treatment Plant ASR well program.
